What a nail-biter story and so emotional! It was a typical Eleanor Ward angsty story and I loved it!

THE BRIDGE

Bridge [R]

A really emotional story. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen. Love how you explore their deepest emotions that they rarely display openly. Look forward to more stories!

Really wonderful story. Could visualize everything happening. Well told.

Gripping! You kept the outcome right til the end. I had no idea of how it was going to turn out - whether happily or not. Loved it!

Such a wonderful angsty story! So smooth all the way through, we just sailed along with Heyes and felt what he was feeling and sympathized with what he was going through. And I always like clever turns of phrase like "the illusion spoke" and unexpected words like "crystalized." Nicely done!

Oh, I really liked this. The tension, as they crossed the bridge, was palpable and Heyes's reactions and thought processes after the accident were realistic. Wasn't sure whether it would be a happy ending or not, the storyline could have taken it either way. I loved the way it finished up. Well done!

I have read this before (as with your other stories) and it was just as intense as the first time. Love how you wrote Heyes and everything he was thinking and feeling, it felt true to character. As well as with Kid when he found Heyes in his room. They do need to let Lom know that they are alive.

Poor Heyes, tortured by the vision of his friend's disappearance. Wasn't sure how it would end, whether happy or sad, either would have worked with the text, but the ending was perfect. Really enjoyed it!

Tense and angsty but with a happy ending. Perfect! I felt like I was trudging right along with Heyes. I liked the touches of humour like "The illusion spoke, sounding like the Kid. It even knew his name..." and "Nearly dying in the river certainly hadn’t affected his appetite any." Thank you for the story.

Excellent. Felt the tension the grief and the joy. Great description, angst and humour. Enjoyed this.
