REGRETS

OOD[R]

How very sad! The Kid must've been just riddled with guilt, especially with those last words. I can see him moving to forget, but never forgetting or really being able to move on. (Kinda surprised he didn't end it... maybe he still would.) Loved... sniff...sniff... it.

Such an emotional story. Poor Curry, words said that can never be taken back.

So very sad, but yes, I could imagine him believing it was all his fault because of what he’d said and not being able to forgive himself. A story that definitely gives food for thought in our own lives because it’s true, we don’t know if something we say to someone will be the last thing we get to say and if it’s something unpleasant it’s too late to rectify it.  Thanks for this story.

Wow! What a fabulous story! So full of emotion, so full of angst, and so believable, too. Their lives could easily have gone this route and regret would be only one of many sad emotions that would be experienced. A wonderful story - thank you so much!

A moving conclusion to the Heyes & Curry story that is neither maudlin nor unnecessarily violent. Well done 👍

Guilt is a powerful emotion. It’s understandable that Curry wasn’t able to rid himself of it.  Even if they’d  been together he might not have been able to save Heyes, or himself, but not knowing if his actions had contributed in some way to his friend’s demise would hang heavy on his conscience, as well as not having the opportunity to settle their differences or say a proper goodbye. A tragic tale but very well written.  Enjoyed it a lot.
